Anthony Cooper
Director
Anthony William Cooper is Managing Director of Marenco Marine Ltd since 2000, but started with parent company Marenco Ltd. in 1987.
Tony as he is known, is responsible for the overall management of the company, but he is also heavily involved with managing projects and repairing equipment used on those projects. He is involved in all projects from the planning stage to execution and completion.
Prior to the establishment of Marenco Marine Ltd. Tony was Regional Project Manager with Marenco Ltd from 1988 to 2000. He also spent his early employment as a diving instructor in Barbados and from 1979 to 1984 as sea cadet in the United Kingdom.
Tony is a certified diver and holds a Technical Diploma in Nautical Studies from the Fleetwood Nautical College, England and several other diving certificates.
Tony has been married for 25 years and has three sons aged 22, 21 and 18.
He enjoys gardening and scuba diving.
David E. S. Cooper
Director
David E. S. Cooper is an industry expert with over 20 years of experience in the marine construction field.
In 1987, he received a Diploma in marketing from Bournemouth University, United Kingdom before returning to Barbados manage a dive shop.
In 1993, he rejoined Marenco Ltd. with his brother Tony and other partners. He has managed various projects mainly throughout the Eastern Caribbean, namely Antigua, Grenada and St. Lucia.
One of the projects David is especially fond of is the construction of the Egmont Bridge in Grenada, which was completed in 1999.
David is the proud father of two daughters that mean the world to him. He has a strong passion for travelling and spends as much time as possible diving and surfing. He also thoroughly enjoys Barbados' Crop Over Festival and Carnival in Trinidad and Tobago.
Dave Seale
Director
Dave earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus and his Masters in Civil Engineering & Construction Management from Heriot-Watt University in the UK.
From 2002 to 2007 he worked as a Junior Engineer for Marenco Ltd. before he was promoted to manage their business in St. Lucia. He returned to Barbados in 2010 and in 2014 partnered with Tony and David to form Marenco Marine Ltd.
Dave’s evolution in the business has seen him move from overseeing the installation of pile foundations into management and ultimately to a partnership. Over that time he is immensely proud of the work the company has done but feels a special connection to some of the more challenging projects.
He has a keen interest in Pile Dynamic Testing and Analysis and has completed training at Pile Dynamic Inc. in the US. He is now himself certified to conduct Pile Dynamic Testing.
Dave is the devoted father of three children, two boys and one girl. After family and work, Dave enjoys playing volleyball and is also an avid football and cricket fan.
